We also asked "GHB Speedy" WHY he chose the career path he did. Check out what he said below:
" Honestly i'v always been into music. Like when I was back on the islands, I used to make lil remixes to songs because I didn't have beats or have any where to record at so that shit was dead but I still always loved music though.
Then when I moved over to palm beach, that’s when everything started falling into play because I met people in school that were rapping too. I remember Gxldy and Keen always were in school free-styling especially Gxldy. Every3k was always banging on some sh**, making beats for them. Also I remember easy bean$ gave me one of his mixtapes in school because I ain’t had cash to buy it; I still got his mixtape in my draw to this day.
We shared a class together and we had a lil freestyle session in class the day he gave me his tape. The day of or the day after I think. But after that, he was telling me to do it, but who really made me chase this sh** was my dawg Kewa. We call him Whop. We used to have freestyle sessions at his crib, and one day I was going in and he just stopped the beat and was like:
“Bruh, it’s you”, and I ain’t know what he meant, so I asked him and he was like “Bruh it’s you that’s going take us to the top bro”. I thought he was playing with me but he was dead serious because when I laughed he didn’t. So from there, I never stopped.
